Central Park Media has announced two new anime releases for August:  Odin: Starlight Mutiny and ShootFighter Tekken.  Odin: Starlight Mutiny is a feature originally produced in 1985 by Yoshinobu Nishizaki, the producer of Star Blazers.  It was released on VHS in the U.S. by CPM as Odin, but has been out of print for some time.  Now on DVD for the first time, it will carry an SRP of $19.99.  The SF story is set in 2099, when a young space cadet faces genocidal robots for the chance to find paradise itself. 

 

Shootfighter Tekken: Round 1 is the first of three OAV volumes; Round 2 will ship in October: and Round 3 is not yet scheduled.  The 46-minute feature, released in 2001 in Japan, tells the story of a high school student martial artist in a World Pro-Wrestling grudge match.
