Mystic Vale was first released in 2016 (see "'Mystic Vale' Card Game"), introducing the innovative game mechanic of using special sleeves to allow cards to be crafted together in combinations. The Essential Edition includes the core game and its first three expansions: Vale of Magic, Vale of the Wild, and Mana Storm. It also features new cover art and the game comes in a big box format.
The game box comes with 80 Starting cards, 252 Advancements, 18 Fertile Soil Advancements, 90 Vale cards, 4 Reference cards, 16 Leaders, 14 Conclaves, 30 dividers, 44 1-point VP tokens, 12 5-point VP tokens, 4 Mana tokens, 8 Amulets, 100 card sleeves, a rulebook, a playmat, and 160 Spirit tokens. This game is for two to four players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 45 minutes. It will retail for $89.99.
