In Shinkansen Zero-Kei, players are representatives of companies that are attempting to construct a high-speed railway between Tokaido and Shinkansen for the Olympics. Players will use cards to dictate their actions, which will be slightly different from the actions of the opposing players. Timing their actions will be key to advancing their building plans, and players will also participate in constructing different Olympic venues for bonuses. This game also features a solo mode, and has easy to learn rules for quick start-up.
The game box comes with a game board, 56 cards, 53 wooden pieces, 70 tokens, and a rulebook. Shinkansen Zero-Kei is for one to four players, ages 12 and up, and plays in 45 to 60 minutes. It will retail for $29.99.
Asmodee USA will also release The Siege of Runedar, a deck-building game by Reiner Knizia (see "'The Siege of Runedar'").
