Marvel Comics' first Predator series since taking over the franchise will wrap up in July, but there’s more to come: A new series will start up in March with a new Predator #1 and a story set years after writer Ed Brisson and artist Kev Walker’s first arc, focusing on the character they introduced, Theta Berwick, whose mission is to eliminate the alien killers known as the Yautja. Brisson will write the new series and artist Netho Diaz will take over as artist; in a statement accompanying the announcement, he said that the new series “ties into film continuity, while breaking new ground.” The first issue will be published on March 8, 2023, with a cover by Giuseppe Camuncoli.

Marvel regained the Predator license, which was previously held by Dark Horse Comics, in 2020 and launched Brisson’s first series in July 2022 (see “Marvel’s ‘Predator’ Will Launch in July”). Brisson and Walker’s first six-issue arc will be collected as Predator by Ed Brisson Vol. 1: Day of the Hunter and will be released as a paperback in April with an MSRP of $19.99.
