Marvel acquired the Predator license, along with Alien and Alien vs. Predator, in July 2020 and originally planned to publish new stories in all three lines in 2021 (see “Marvel Comics Acquires ‘Alien,’ ‘Predator,’ and ‘Alien vs. Predator’ Franchises”). It launched the Alien series last year (see “‘Alien’ Xenomorphs Burst Back Onto the Comic Scene”) and will release the first omnibus collection of the Predator comics published by Dark Horse Comics (which previously held the license) in September (see “Marvel to Publish ‘Predator’ Omnibus”).
