Ark of Omens: The Lion contains the final chapters of the Ark of Omens saga (see "Warhammer 40,000' Campaign Book"). Vashtorr the Arkifane is putting together Key-fragments, beginning a cataclysmic ritual, and the Dark Angels are battling their way to get to him. Also, Lion El'Jonson is back to initiate a duel with his brother Angron. This book also contains expanded rules for Boarding Actions as well as extra rules for the Leagues of Votann, Thousand Sons, Imperial Agents, and Adeptus Custodes. It also features Dread Encounter missions and 12 Breaching Operation missions.

Alongside the new book, GW will release The Lion & Retinue miniatures launch set. It showcases Lion El'Jonson accompanied by three elite Bladeguard Veterans. This set also comes with two prints and a transfer sheet.
