Quartermaster Logistics (QML) announced that it has added consolidation services to its repertoire via their newly launched Quartermaster Direct division (QMD). QML provides fulfillment, shipping, and warehousing solutions for crowd-funded games worldwide. The company's new consolidation services will allow retailers and distributors to order products from multiple publishers under a single banner.
The company is headed up by Jerry Sunkin, who is also the CEO of CoolStuffInc. Sunkin stepped down as President of QML in June 2022, as the company promoted Seth Grier from within to fulfill the role, but still retained his title of owner and CEO (see "Quartermaster Logistics Promotes, PHD Hires").
James Takenaka, who joined QMD from Funagain Logistics after it closed up shop earlier this year (see "Funagain Logistics to Close Up Shop") is the new Director of Sales for QMD. Takenaka was originally part of Hit Point Sales, but came over to Funagain when it was purchased by Funagain Fullfillment from Tabletop Tycoon in 2019 (see "Funagain Fulfillment Buys Hit Point Sales"). Erica Sanders, former Sales & Marketing Manager for Funagain Distribution, has also joined QMD as their new Marketing Manager.
Takenaka shared some thoughts on the new services provided by QMD. "QMD will provide retailers and distributors with a convenient one stop shop of wholesale services where they can gain access to hundreds of games from independent publishers all under one account," he said. "[They can] order as few as 1 copy of a game, and have reorders fulfilled in a timely manner."
QMD's distributor clients include Alliance, ACD, GTS, Southern Hobby, Universal, Asmodee UK/Esdevium, Spiral Galaxy, ADC Blackfire, Brave New World, Fun Supply, Frontdepot, Intrafin, Let’s Play Games, and VR Distribution.
The publisher clients that have signed on with them are as follows: Erika Svanoe Games, Talon Strikes Studios , Cherry Picked Games, Axe N Shield, DPH Games, One Up Parties and Games, Origami Whale, Megacorpin, Cardboard Dynamo, Mariucci Designs, Cation Arts Studios, Tau Leader Games, B.A. Games, Cogito Ergo Meeple, Mariposa Games, Dranda Games, Unique Games, Gray Wolf Games, Mega Mint Games, Mythopoeia, Lemery Games, Last Night Games, and Wonderbow Games.
