Thunder Road: Vendetta is restored version of the classic 1986 game. The original game, created by Jim Keifer and published by Milton Bradley, was essentially a post-apocalyptic mayhem on wheels game much in the same genre as the Mad Max movies. The gameplay is fairly simple. Players form a crew, roll dice to race their cars, battle each other on the road, and attempt not to get wrecked. The refurbished version features new bells and whistles like random hazard tokens and damage tokens that trigger effects on the cars. Players can also assign dice to a command board to repair damage, nitro boost, or send out an attack helicopter.
This game is for two to four players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 45 to 75 minutes. It will retail for $60.
Restoration Games also announced two new Unmatched sets, Brains and Brawn and Sun's Origin, which will hit retail in 2023 (see "'Unmatched' Sets").
