Ten Speed Press will launch a new graphic novel imprint, Ten Speed Graphic, this fall with the first title, a graphic adaptation of Kiersten White’s thriller Hide, adapted by Scott Peterson with art by Veronica and Andy Fish, which is due out in September 2023.
That will be followed by a graphic adaptation of Richard Adams’ Watership Down, adapted by James Sturm with art by Joe Sutphin; George R.R. Martin and Raya Golden’s Voyaging, Volume One (see “Ten Speed Press Signs New George R.R. Martin Adaptation”); Nora Krug’s Diaries of War; Tom Scioli’s graphic biography of Stan Lee, I Am Stan (a followup to 2020’s Jack Kirby: The Epic Life of the King of Comics); and Julio Anta and Yasmín Flores Montañez’s Sí, Se Puede: The Latino Heroes Who Changed the United States. All of these titles are scheduled for Fall 2023.
Further out, Ten Speed has lined up artist Ai Weiwei’s graphic memoir, a collection of horror comics with YouTube star MrBallen, The Hoof Lady, by Reservation Dogs star Devery Jacobs, and three webtoons: Nothing Special by Katie Cook, The Strange Tales of Oscar Zahn by Tri Vuong, and Sweet Home by Carnby Kim and Youngchan Hwang. Over 50 titles are currently in the pipeline, with the emphasis on fiction, webtoons, and licensed properties.
Older titles will be rebranded with the new imprint’s logo as they are reprinted.
An imprint of the Crown Publishing Group at Penguin Random House, Ten Speed Press is no stranger to graphic novel publishing, with numerous successful titles including the Eisner Award-winning The Black Panther Party: A Graphic History, by David F. Walker and Marcus Kwame Anderson, and Marie Kondo’s best-selling The Life-Changing Manga of Tidying Up already in its catalog. It is also the primary trade publisher for Dungeons & Dragons books, including the Young Adventurer’s Guides (see “Jim Zub Pens ‘D&D Young Adventurer’s Guides’”).

Planned Titles Include Tom Scioli's 'I Am Stan,' George R.R. Martin's 'Voyaging, Volume One'
