Fan Expo HQ has signed an exclusive multiyear deal with the cover artist Stanley “Artgerm” Lau. The Hong Kong-based artist seldom makes appearances in North America, but he will be making personal appearances at Fan Expo events. The first appearance will be announced later this year, and the exclusive will last until 2026.
Lau is the co-founder of Imaginary Friends Studios and a cover artist for Marvel Comics, DC Comics, and Capcom, among others.
“Artgerm is one of our most requested comic creators,” said Fan Expo VP Andrew Moyes in a statement accompanying the announcement. “We know he’s very selective about the events he takes part in.”
Fan Expo also has exclusives with Frank Miller (see “Fan Expo Signs Frank Miller”), Mark Silvestri, Andy Kubert, Joshua Williamson, and Joe Quesada. The exclusives do not include San Diego Comic-Con or New York Comic Con.
