Titan Manga will Burst Angel, Minoru Murao’s manga prequel to the Gonzo anime of the same name (see “Funimation Licenses ‘Burst Angel’”). The three-volume series tells the story of how four women, Meg, Jo, Sei, and Amy, first became crimefighters in a future Tokyo where guns are legal and mercenaries use them to deliver justice directly on the streets. Their subsequent adventures are chronicled in the anime, which currently streams on Crunchyroll, Amazon Prime, and Apple TV. The first volume of the manga will be released on May, 21, 2024, with an MSRP of $12.99.
The Burst Angel manga was first released in North America by Tokyopop in 2008-09. At that time, Tokyopop gave it a rating of OT (16+) due to violence and nonsexual nudity; online bookseller listings for the Titan edition do not give an age rating.
