Manga industry veteran Lianne Sentar has been promoted to Publisher of Seven Seas Entertainment from her previous role as Sales & Marketing Manager for the company. Former Publisher Jason DeAngelis has become President & CEO, and former Associate Publisher Adam Arnold will become Vice President & COO.
Sentar joined Seven Seas in 2012 as a freelance editor, becoming head of the marketing department in 2017. Sentar has been working in the manga and comics industry since 1999, when her first role was writing Sailor Moon prose novels for Tokyopop. She co-founded Chromatic Press and its digital fiction magazine Sparkler Monthly.
Says DeAngelis, “In the six years that Lianne has been with Seven Seas, she has helped lead the company through explosive growth. I’m thrilled to name Lianne as my successor as Publisher, and have complete confidence in her ability to lead, in her passion, and in her deep knowledge of the industry.”
