Dark Horse Comics will add another volume of Gou Tanabe’s adaptations of H.P. Lovecraft’s works to its catalog with The Call of Cthulhu, which it will publish in July 2024. The story follows an investigator whose research into the cult of Cthulhu brings him to a horrific place where his sanity is threatened. The manga adaptation will be published as a 290-page paperback with eight color pages and a tip-in title page printed with silver ink. Dark Horse will release the book on July 31, 2024, in bookstores and August 1 in comic shops, with an MSRP of $19.99.
The Call of Cthulhu is the fourth of Gou Tanabe’s adaptations to be released by Dark Horse; they recently announced a deluxe hardcover edition of At the Mountains of Madness (see “Dark Horse to Publish Deluxe Edition of ‘At the Mountains of Madness’ Manga”).
