Steamforged Games previewed their new version of Medici, a classic auction game by Reiner Knizia, which will hit retail on March 13, 2024.

This game was first announced back in October 2023 (see "New Edition of 'Medici'").  Medici is played over the course of three rounds where players assume the roles of 16th century traders auctioning off goods and bidding on them to fill their ship's cargo.  The new edition of the features brand-new artwork and visuals as well as player characters.  The game box includes a game board, 6 large ship mats, 2 small ship mats, 6 ship tokens, 36 Commodity cards, 36 Player counters, 3 player aid cards, a First Player card, 5 Commodity counters, 2 Day counters, and a rulebook.

It is for two to six players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 60 minutes. Medici will retail for $39.99.
