Dark Horse Comics will launch a new Critical Role limited series, Critical Role: Vox Machina Origins IV, in May 2024. Jody Houser, who co-wrote the second and third series together with cast member Matthew Mercer, will team up again with Mercer for the six-issue series, and Noah Hayes, who was nominated for two GLAAD awards for his work on Goldie Vance and The Avant-Guards, will be the artist. The story follows Vox Machina as they hunt for the missing Sir Fince, a mission that takes them into the depths of his basement. The first issue will be published on May 29, 2024, with a cover by Alicia Sánchez.
The final two graphic novels in the Critical Role: The Mighty Nein Origins series will be published in April and June 2024, respectively (see “‘Critical Role: The Mighty Nein Origins’ Wraps Up”).
