A set of character sketches by DC President, Chief Creative Officer, and Publisher Jim Lee, which were originally created at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic as a fund-raiser for the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (Binc), will be available as Artist Spotlight variant covers for DC Comics’ April comics.

Lee did the sketches in April 2020 and auctioned them off, which the buyer of each sketch getting to choose the character of the next one (see “Jim Lee Donating Art to Help Comic Retailers via Binc”).  At the same time, DC donated $250,000 to help comics retailers and their employees.

DC will make the sketches available, in full color, as variant covers for the following issues:

• Batman #146
• Batman and Robin #8
• Batman Superman World’s Finest #26
• Birds of Prey #8
• Catwoman #63
• Detective Comics #1084
• Nightwing #113
• Superman #13
