The rebranding begins with Championship season 5, where Championship Showdown and Circuit tournaments will be combined into Showdown Challenge tournaments. These tournaments can be hosted by stores once per season, and lead into larger events. Bushiroad also added Grand Showdowns, which are competitive level tournaments where players can win exclusive promo cards as well as an invite to Shadowverse's World Finals. The invites earned via Grand Showdowns are unsponsored.
Bushiroad also announced the release of Omens Eternal, the fifth Shadowverse TCG set (see "Fifth 'Shadowverse TCG' Set").
