Red Raven Games has announced Isle of Night, a pocket-sized card game about exploring a mysterious island, set to release in May.
The setting for Isle of Night is a mysterious land mass that appears only at night. The players have chosen to explore this benighted place, which is revealed during the game through a deck of cards. Each turn, the players can take cards of a single type, while the unchosen cards remain in play, creating a larger pool of choices for later turns. An additional level of strategy is introduced through cards that modify the point value of other cards as well.
Isle of Night was created by Dustin Dowdle and features illustrations by Ryan Laukat (Sleeping Gods, Near and Far). It is intended for 2 to 5 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in around 20 minutes.
Red Raven recently offered a new stand-alone sequel to Laukat’s Sleeping Gods (see “‘Sleeping Gods’ Sequel Heads to Retail”).
