Mantic Games and River Horse have reached an agreement to collaborate on a special 40th Anniversary Collection of Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: The Board Game, the companies announced.  The new collection will add new content, all-new rules, and new miniatures to the original River Horse game.  The 40th Anniversary moniker is tied to the run-up to the 40th anniversary of the release of the film in 2026.

River Horse released its original version of the core game in 2016 (see “’Jim Henson’s Labyrinth’ Comes to Tabletop”), then added two expansions, Goblins! (see “’Goblin’s!’ Invades ‘Jim Henson’s Labyrinth’”), and Fireys! (see “’Fireys!’ Revealed”).

40th Anniversary Collection of Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: The Board Game will be crowdfunded on Gamefound, with a retailer tier, and produced in a single print run.
