IGN Entertainment announced that it has acquired a handful of ReedPop's Gamer Network's digital brands as well as other assets.

This deal represents a further consolidation of games news companies into even larger news conglomerates. The digital brands acquired as part of this sale included the following publications: GamesIndustry.biz, Eurogamer, Rock Paper Shotgun, VG247, and Dicebreaker. IGN also acquired the company's shares in Outside Xbox, Digital Foundry, and Hookshot. Hookshot Media publishes Nintendo life, Push Square, Pure Xbox, and Time Extension. The price was not disclosed.

ReedPop acquired Gamer Network back in 2018, primarily for the EGX  convention asset, as the company made its bid to go global (see "ReedPOP Makes Another Big Move"). The Popverse and EGX assets were notably excluded from this deal.
