Ares Games unveiled Aeterna, a new historical-themed game by Martin Wallace, which will hits stores in November 2024.
In Aeterna, players charge of Roman lineage and try to increase the family's prestige through three Eras: the Roman Kingdom, the Roman Republic, and the Roman Empire. They will need to build up their influence to rule over the Seven Hills by helping build monuments, buildings, and supporting conquests. The players will also have to keep the citizens of their provinces happy, otherwise unrest could disrupt their control over the area. The game features a mix of worker placement, majority control, card drafting, and strategic planning mechanics.
This game is for two to four players, plays in one to two hours, and will retail for $65.00. The English edition game was developed by Ergo Ludo Editions, which also released Cangaceiros via their agreement with Ares Games (see "'Cangaceiros').
