The 4E rulebook, which is also included in the Skaventide boxed set (see "'Warhammer Age of Sigmar 4E' Release Date"), will be released on its own as a 288-page full color hardcover. It includes background information imparted through the points-of-view of characters fighting the battles in the Mortal Realms. The book features the core rules of the game, the Advanced Rules, Battlepack: First Blood for Matched Play, and the narrative Battlepack: Ascension for Path to Glory. Warhammer Age of Sigmar Core Book will also be available in a limited edition that comes in an illustrated slipcase.

Alongside the new rulebook, the General's Handbook 2024-25 and Faction Packs will be released. General's Handbook 2024-25 is a 112-page spiral bound book that offers players everything they need to play balanced Matched Play games through the first season of competitive play. The Faction Packs, which are being produced for every Age of Sigmar faction, contain cards that update armies' Battle Traits, Battle Formations, Heroic Traits, Artefacts of Power, Spell Lores, Prayer Lores, and Manifestation Lores for the new edition. They also have cards for playing games of Spearhead, with Battle Traits, Regiment Traits, Enhancements, and warscroll cards.
