Marvel Studios’ X-Men 97 (see "’X-Men 97’ Trailer"), streaming on Disney+, has been nominated for an Emmy Award in the Animated Program category. Marvel promoted the series with a lead-in prequel series (see "Marvel Plans ‘X-Men 97’ Tie-In") and variant covers (see "’X-Men 97’ Covers").
Marvel Studios is in early talks with the Russo brothers to direct the next two Avengers movies, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The team directed the last two Avengers movies, plus Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, all big hits for the studio. The fifth and sixth Avengers movies are scheduled for early May of 2026 and 2027 (see "Best in Shows 2026").
Marvel has released a trailer for Agatha All Along, the WandaVision spinoff starring Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness. The series, which will premiere September 18 on Disney+, is now on its fourth title, following Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, and Agatha: House of Harkness. It was originally slated for release last winter, but was delayed in a major Disney+ shuffle last September (see "Marvel Delays Seven").
Max has released a second teaser for its upcoming live action series in the Dune universe, Dune: Prophecy. The series, set millennia before the movies before the universe knew the sisterhood as the Bene Gesserit, is based on the Sisterhood of Dune novel by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, (see "’Dune: Prophecy’ Trailer").
Toei has released a new trailer, revealing mysterious new characters, for the upcoming Dragon Ball series, Dragon Ball DAIMA (see "’Dragon Ball DAIMA’ Trailer"), and revealed that it will premiere in October.
