Wizards of the Coast has offered up Magic: The Gathering Arena rewards to incentivize in-store standard format play.

WotC is still on their quest to incentivize players to pick up and play Standard events at FLGS (see "Standard Format's Tabletop Woes").  Now, they are leveraging Magic: The Gathering Arena rewards to get more players to invest in Standard cardboard and play.  From August 2-31, 2024, players that participate in up to four in-store Standard events at WPN locations that are participating in the promotion will get one reward in Magic: The Gathering Arena per event played in, as long as they are using their Wizards Account that is connected to Magic: The Gathering Arena to register for the event.

The following online rewards can be earned by players after each event they enter:

  • First event earns one Random Rare card reward from Standard.

  • Second event earns one Random Rare card reward from Standard.

  • Third event earns one Bloomburrow pack and Ral, Crackling Wit card style.

  • Fouth event earns one Bloomburrow Mythic pack.

Wizards of the Coast recently revealed its Inside the Elevator Superdrop sets, the next wave of Secret Lair sets for Magic: The Gathering (see "'Magic: The Gathering' 'Secret Lair'").
