Jay Stephens' Dwellings, the three-issue series that dishes up horror with a Harvey Comics vibe, will return just in time for Halloween, and a new story miniseries will kick off in 2025.

Dwellings: All Hallows Eve Special #1 will be a stand-alone, 40-page one-shot that will introduce readers to the dark corners and mean streets of Elwich from the point of view of Wolfgang LeGant, who suffers from the delusion that he is a vampire hunter. Things get even weirder when he meets Emmaline Momenta, who thinks she's a vampire, and together the two may just be able to stop a mass murder. Carrying the retro theme even further, the comic includes fake old-school ads. The one-shot will go on sale on October 9 with a main cover by Stevens and a variant cover by Katie Skelly.

“This standalone story brings us back to the haunted streets of Elwich for a tale about a tall, dark, and handsome visitor Hell-bent on hunting down the monsters who hide in the town’s shadows," Stephens said in a statement accompanying the announcement. "Set in the tight-knit underground ‘Sangunarian’ Elwich goth scene, “Come Hither” flips the classic bloodsucker tale in its grave, as a delusional, self-proclaimed ‘vampire hunter’ seduces the black-clad youth one by one in order to lay them to rest for eternity. Happy Halloween, Dwellers!”

Stephens will return to Elwich in 2025 for Dwellings: Second Stories, which continues the tales of the haunted town in four 40-page stand-alone issues.

The initial three-issue series was a surprise hit when it was released in 2023 (see "Oni Announces Two 'Dwellings' Covers to Be Allocated").
