Ares Games revealed a new edition of Mega Civilization, now called Mega Empires, for preorder. These games will hit retail in December 2024.

This game was originally published as an 18-player epic civilization builder by Colossus Games in 2015. In this game, players attempt to accumulate the most victory points by trading commodities and developing advances to represent their civilization’s wealth and glory. The new edition, now titled Mega Empires, breaks down the game into two standalones: Mega Empires: The West and Mega Empires: The East.

The West covers the Atlantic Ocean to the Middle East and is for five to nine players, whereas The East allows players to develop their civilizations from the Middle East to India and supports three to nine players. Each game is for ages 13 and up, plays in 240 minutes, and will retail for $129.90.

Ares Games will also release the English edition of Snails, a new battle game by Galakta Games (see "'Snails'").
