Tsuburaya Productions Company Ltd. has announced the second wave of cards for the Ultraman Trading Card Game, which will feature works by well-known comics and fantasy artists. The new set will release in 2025. The company has also announced details for their upcoming tournaments.
Tsuburaya has announced six of the artists who will be featured in the new card set: Sean Chen (Iron Man, Fantastic Four, Wolverine, Batman Beyond), Reilly Brown (Amazing Spider-Man, Lobo, Deadpool), David Lopez (Catwoman, All-New Wolverine, Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight), Bob Eggleton (Godzilla, Jimmy Neutron, Magic: The Gathering), Davide Tinto (Ultraman: The Mystery of the Ultraseven, Star Wars: Bounty Hunters, Marvel Action Spider-Man), and Klenda Vee.
To support the new game, Tsuburaya will be hosting a series of tournaments through 2025. Winners of qualifying events will be invited to the World Tournament which will be held in Tokyo in 2026.

Announced last year (see “‘Ultraman TCG’ Unveiled’”), the first Ultraman TCG Starter Deck is releasing this month. First appearing in 1966, Ultraman is enjoying broad attention this year, with comic crossovers involving Marvel’s Avengers (see “Ultraman to Cross Over into the Marvel Universe for the First Time”) and Spider-Man (see “SDCC News: VIZ, Marvel Announce New Ultraman/Spider-Man Manga”). Netflix’s animated Ultraman: Rising was the second-highest viewed English-language program worldwide on the streaming platform (see “‘Green Lantern’ Series Greenlit; New Monsterverse Film Incoming; ‘Batman: Caped Crusader’ Trailer; ‘Street Fighter’ Movie in the Works; ‘Ultraman Rising’ #2 Worldwide; ‘Resident Alien’ Moves”).
