Dynamite Entertainment is launching a new Darkwing Duck ongoing series to be written by Daniel Kibblesmith with art by the team of Ted Brandt and Ro Stein and coloring by Dearbhla Kelly. The series will launch in February 2025 with several covers, including one by Tad Stones, who created Darkwing Duck when he was a Disney animator in the 1990s. Other cover artists include Mark Bagley, Nicoletta Baldari, Ciro Cangialosi, and Brandt and Stein.
In this series, Kibblesmith will look at the character’s early years, his rise to fame, and the highlights of his crime-fighting career, all told by an extremely unreliable narrator.
Dynamite launched Justice Ducks, by Roger Langridge and Carlo Lauro, in January 2024 (see “Dynamite Announces Two New Disney Titles”).
