The Book Industry Charitable Foundation is offering two scholarships to the ComicsPRO Annual Meeting in February, with applications due December 31. The ComicsPRO Annual Meeting will be held in Glendale, California on February 20-22 (see “Annual Meeting Moves to California”).
The scholarships are for $750 each, and are available to owners or employees of comic stores that meet certain criteria. The funds can be used for travel, replacement wages, lodging, and meals. ComicsPRO will comp the registration fee.
BINC has been offering the scholarships for several years; last year they were awarded to Miranda Nordell at Dreamers & Make-Believers Books in Baltimore and Drew Sullivan at Ash Avenue Comics & Books in Tempe, Arizona (see “BINC Scholarships Awarded”).
