Set in the city of Wintergrad in the distant north, Zombicide: White Death chronicles the zombie siege of the beleaguered town and its few survivors. The survivors can use the city’s battlements to avoid the zombies, but must contend with the opposing necromancers and their corrupting influence.
Designed as a stand-alone expansion and sequel for 2015’s Zombicide: Black Plague (see “‘Zombicide’ Goes Medieval”) and its follow-up Green Horde (see “Zombie Orcs Invade ‘Zombicide’”), the core set introduces the city of Wintergrad and its wintry foes, including 83 miniatures, 48 trackers, 6 plastic player boards, 6 dice, 167 cards, 9 board tiles, and 64 tokens. It is intended for 1 to 6 players, ages 14 and up, and takes about an hour to play. MSRP is $109.99.
Four expansion sets will be released alongside the core set:
Zombicide: White Death Crossfire Pack adds a ranged combat element to the game, allowing both survivors and zombies to equip themselves with crossbows to strike their foes from a distance. It adds 27 crossbow-wielding miniatures, new Delayed Ranged Action Cards, Deadbolt Walker Spawn Cards, reference cards, and rules leaflet. Compatible with all Zombicide Fantasy games. MSRP $34.99.
Zombicide: White Death Climbers & Terrorcotta Pack introduces new ways for the necromancers to emperil Wintergrad, with Climber Zombies that can scale the walls and plague-infected Terrorcotta Walkers created from the city’s decorative statues, which can reform themselves when defeated. Includes 30 miniatures, 18 cards, and rules. Compatible with all Zombicide Fantasy games. MSRP $34.99.
Zombicide: White Death Divine Beasts Abomination Pack features four Divine Beasts, representing the seasons, directions, and virtues, whose zombified forms hunt the survivors using their own sets of Activation Cards. These powerful creatures can even influence the abilities of other zombies. Those Survivors able to overcome these beasts can earn special Skill Cards to enhance their abilities. Has 4 miniatures and 21 cards. MSRP $29.99.
