Asmodee Canada and Lion Rampant Imports will merge their operations after years of operating separately under common ownership. Asmodee’s two Canadian distributors were acquired at different times. Asmodee Canada was built around its acquisition of F2Z Entertainment in 2016 (see "Asmodee Acquiring F2Z Entertainment"); and Lion Rampant Imports was acquired in 2019 (see "Asmodee Acquires North American Distributor").
Asmodee Canada Country Manager and CEO Jayson Pickford explained the change. "Keeping the two entities separate for a few years made sense from a brand perspective," he said. "Both companies had strong individual identities that we felt would be best leveraged separately, but now it's time to maximize efficiencies and create a smoother process for our retail and vendor partners."
The combined operations, which will operate as Asmodee Canada, will be conducted from a sales office in Brantford, Ontario; and a warehouse in Vaudreuil, Quebec. Retailers will have a single sales representative, and use a single catalog and ordering website. The transition will take place on April 1, 2025.
