Vault Comics will launch direct-to-retailer distribution on February 3, 2025, and retailers who sign up by February 28 will get free shipping for the first six months.  The initial discount to retailers will be at least 50% of MSRP, with additional discounts depending on the total order cost.  After the first six months, the discount will be based on order volume, and qualifying orders will continue to get free shipping.  "Packing, shipping timelines, shortages, and damages policies will meet or ​exceed industry standards," the company said in the announcement.  The new platform will launch with a selection of new and backlist titles and will add more in the weeks to come.

The announcement notes that Vault is also distributed by Lunar and Simon & Schuster but does not mention Diamond, which continued to be its distributor after the publisher signed on with Lunar in 2022 (see "Vault Comics Adds Lunar").  Diamond filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this week (see "Diamond Files for Reorganization").

Vault will also make changes to its publishing schedule in order to align releases and formats across all distributors.
