It's cold outside, but the Hollywood news is hot. Time for a round-up!

Legendary Entertainment and Hasbro Entertainment have begun development of Magic: The Gathering film and TV projects, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  The first project in the new collaboration will be adapting the game into a movie.  The Magic IP had been optioned before for TV and film, most recently by Netflix (see "'Magic: The Gathering' Series"), but none of the previous projects came to fruition.

Marvel Studios released an official teaser for the upcoming Fantastic Four movie (see below), which stars Pedro Pascal, Julia Garner, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.  It will hit theaters on July 25, 2025 (see "Best in Shows -- 2025").

Universal Pictures unveiled the official trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth (see below).  This movie stars Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey, and is set to hit theaters sometime in July (see "New 'Jurassic World' Movie").

Netflix unleashed the opening credits for their Devil May Cry animated series (see below).  The animated series is based on the popular video game franchise from Capcom (see "Anime DVD Included in Video Game").  It premieres on April 3, 2025.

Paramount Pictures dropped a trailer for the Smurfs movie (see below).  The new animated movie's voice cast features John Goodman as Papa Smurf and Rihanna as Smurfette (see "Rihanna Voicing Smurfette").  This movie arrives in theaters on July 18, 2025.

Bandai Namco has created a new division, Bandai Namco Filmworks America, through which it will invest in Legendary Entertainment’s live action Gundam film, the company said in its recent business plan.  This project has been in the works since 2018, and in 2019 had attached Brian K. Vaughn to write the screenplay (see "Brian K. Vaughan on 'Gundam,'").  In 2021, they also attached Kong: Skull Island director Jordan Vogt-Roberts (see "Directors for 'Gundam' Live-Action").
