A third publisher is jumping onto the compact comics bandwagon: Oni Press will publish Rick and Morty Oni Compact Comics Edition: The Unkillable Collection, a 248-page “pocket-size” paperback, priced at $9.99, that collects Rick and Morty: Let the Rick One In #1–2, Rick and Morty: Rick Revenge Squad #1–2, Rick and Morty Presents: Pickle Rick, Rick and Morty Presents: A Very Special Blumbus, and Rick and Morty vs. Cthulhu #1–4.  The collection will go on sale on October 8, 2025.

DC Comics started the recent wave (see "DC Launches New Line of ‘Compact Comics’") with a line of trade paperbacks with a smaller format (5.5” x 8.5”) than standard trades and a uniform price of $9.99; each one collects a storyline that’s accessible to new readers and familiar to fans, such s Watchmen, Batman: Hush, and All-Star Superman.  These have sold quite well. Marvel followed up with its Premier Collection (see "Marvel Premier Collection Launching February 2025”), with books that were slightly larger, at 6" x 9", with an MSRP of $14.99.  The first volumes were released in February 2025 and were top sellers through ComicHub (see "Top 20 Graphic Novels") and among superhero graphic novels in BookScan (see "February 2025 Circana BookScan").

The animated Rick & Morty series, on which the comics are based, was recently renewed for two more seasons (see "‘Rick & Morty’ Renewed Through S12").
