Kodansha USA and Yen Press will each publish a new art book by the manga creator group CLAMP in November.

Yen Press will publish Kuro (“Black”), and Kodansha will publish Shiro (“White”).  Both books were created as companions to the 2024 CLAMP exhibit at the National Art Center in Tokyo, Japan.  The books include full-color art from their manga, including RG Veda, Tokyo Babylon, Carcaptor Sakura, and Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, as well as promotional pieces for magazines, videogames, phone cards, and other official merch and artwork created specifically for the two art books.

CLAMP were an important part of the manga wave of the early 2000s, when they were published by Tokyopop; both Yen Press and Kodansha have published new editions of their work since then (see “Kodansha Comics to Bring Back ‘Saiyuki,’ ‘Chobits,’ ‘Clover’”).
