ICv2 has confirmed that ADV will be releasing the 26-episode Shadow Skill anime TV series starting in November. The Shadow Skill TV anime, which was broadcast in Japan in 1998, is the sequel to a popular OAV series, which was released in the U.S. by Manga Entertainment in 2001. The Shadow Skill series, which features a strong female lead character (Elle) in the title role, has developed a strong following, in part because of its violent martial arts action (ADV is rating it 'TV-14') and also because of the popularity of Megumi Hayashibara, who voices the character of Elle with her usual skill. Elle has earned the title of 'Sevaar,' which is bestowed upon the top warrior in the land of Kuruda and she has to fight off all manner of challenges while she instructs her younger adopted brother Gau Ban in the martial arts and attempts to help him avenge the deaths of his parents.
