Last night the WWE returned to the USA Network for a 3-hour live broadcast of Monday Night RAW, and the increased visibility this move brings the number one league in professional wrestling should help increase sales of Topps' WWE Heritage cards.  In addition to the cool retro designs and striking images of the chief grapplers, both male and female, of the WWE, the new Topps release will include autographs from some of the top talent (past and present) in the WWE ranks, including John Cena (the current WWE Champ), Shawn Michaels, Chief Jay Strongbow, Sgt. Slaughter, and Jerry 'The King' Lawler.  The ever-popular wrestling divas are also well represented with plenty of signatures from the distaff side including those of Torrie Wilson, Stacy Keibler, Christy Hemme and Trish Stratus.

A Blast From the Past

In addition to the autograph cards the WWE Heritage series will include cards that can be redeemed for event-worn memorabilia from such ring luminaries as Hollywood Hulk Hogan, John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, Triple H, and Eugene.

The WWE Heritage Cards will be out in plenty of time for the holidays and should help fill the sports card void created by major league baseball's decision to discourage the 2005 release of baseball cards for the 2006 season.  In past years the first series of baseball cards for the new season were typically released in late November and December, but this year fans will have to wait until 2006.
