Four new cosplay books are set for release in the coming months, offering retailers an opportunity to take advantage of this Japanese phenomenon that's becoming increasingly popular in the U.S. First up are two books from DH Publishing's Cocoro Books imprint. Cocoro will release a new edition of Cosplay Girls: Japan's Live Animation Heroines this month. The 96-page 11.9' x 8' trade paperback will include over 300 color photos, including new images not in the previous edition, and a new introduction, at a $19.95 MSRP. Also due out this month, Cocoro will release J-Rock Groupies: 200 Photographs of Unique Japanese Girls, with photos of Japanese groupies in their inventive and outrageous concert gear.
