The Right Stuf has announced the July release of the first volume of the 13-episode anime series Ninja Nonsense: The Legend of Shinobu (MSRP $29.99). This absurdist comedy is based on a popular manga series by Ryoichi Koga and features Shinobu, a cute, but naive, female ninja-trainee attempting to learn her trade under the perverse tutelage of a strange globular creature named Onsokumaru. The first DVD in the series includes the first four episodes of the series and carries an age rating of 15+--Onsokumaru sends Shinobu on a stealthy midnight mission to collect panties from high school girls, but his obsessions are played for laughs as are Shinobu's feelings for the victims of her underwear thievery.
