DK Publishing is planning a number of books based on popular movies and TV series for the holidays, including titles tied to CSI, Stargate SG-1 Flushed Away, and Star Wars.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation The Ultimate Guide should satiate the crime buffs who can't get enough forensics drama.  The Ultimate Guide looks in-depth at the number one rated drama that averages 25.9 million weekly viewers.

DK worked with CBS to create the 144-page ode to CSI which includes character profiles, case studies and includes full color pictures that look into the work of the CSI team.

The $24.99 book launches in October, in time for the show's seventh season.

Another big license with a hardcover book streeting this fall is Stargate SG-1: The Ultimate Visual Guide, which not only features 600 full-color images and a bonus DVD, but a special introduction by series star Richard Dean Anderson.

Kate Ritter, a recognized expert on Stargate SG-1 who wrote Stargate Lexicon, pens this guide with every little detail down to the type of wristwatch Anderson wears.

Retailing for $24.99, the hardcover guide has 144 pages of packed Stargate SG-1 information and hits in November.

The Dreamworks and Aardman Animation co-production Flushed Away allows viewers in on its filmmaking process with Flushed Away: The Essential Guide.

The book based on the Hugh Jackman- and Ian McKellen-voiced characters offers up movie stills and special illustrations in a 48-page $12.99 package.  The Essential Guide hits stores in time for the film's November 3 release.

Perennial licensing favorite Star Wars sees two releases this fall.  Star Wars: The Complete Visual Dictionary combines previous Star Wars Visual Dictionaries into one package along with new content.  Included in the set are The Star Wars Visual Dictionary, as well as dictionaries relating to episodes I, II and III.  The hardcover set retails for $40.00.

The license also makes an appearance as part of the You Can Draw series.  You Can Draw Star Wars Characters helps readers master comic book skills with its inclusion of feature overlays, fold-out pages and stencils.  You Can Draw will use the Force to take $19.99 MSRP out of consumers this October.
