A Media Blasters spokesperson has confirmed to ICv2 that the company has acquired the rights to distribute two Japanese live action features: Zebraman and Devilman. Both were released in
Zebraman, directed by the prolific Takashi Miike, features a caped superhero saving the world from aliens in what one reviewer called 'an odd mix of action, comedy, and introspective drama.'
Devilman is the live action take on the classic animated property, which takes considerable departures from the anime storyline.
The spokesperson said that both films are tentatively planned for Q1 2007 street dates, with little else decided at this point.
