According to the American Web site for The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Bandai Entertainment will release the first DVD in the cult hit series on May 29th.  The innovative announcement was made during a video clip featuring three actresses dressed as characters from the film who invade the Bandai Entertainment headquarters and 'liberate' the debut date for the first DVD in the series.

The highly anticipated Haruhi Suzumiya anime series (see 'Bandai to Distribute The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya') has been a huge hit in Japan where it has developed a cult following.
