Sponsored. Last year Metallic Dice Games rebranded itself as FanRoll with a renewed purpose to deliver incredible quality products for fans across the tabletop category. This month, the company is shipping its first licensed product with Paizo’s Pathfinder and a line that includes literal dice goblins.
Neal Hoffman, CEO of FanRoll Dice, talks about the company’s strategy to approach Paizo. In fact, the team actually developed an entire line of Pathfinder-themed products before John even picked up the phone!
"If they cracked open the door, we were prepared to bust through it." says Hoffman. The FanRoll team developed a unique line that tied directly into the Pathfinder brand. Starting with a set of Goblin inclusion dice, FanRoll also produced a 55mm giant D20 with a goblin head inside. To round out the Pathfinder line, the company is introducing the first-ever licensed dice with a Mutagen-themed liquid core set.
The 55mm giant D20 debuted this summer at Paizo’s booth at Comic-Con and fans were delighted by the incredible detail and quality. Based on feedback from Gen Con, FanRoll significantly increased production of the talk-piece item.
FanRoll was not content to stop at dice - they developed a unique dice scroll/carry case themed to Pathfinder. For their dice tray, they incorporated the main Pathfinder map artwork into a one-of-a-kind collectible. According to Hoffman, the line will expand into plush this spring.
The Pathfinder line is being carried by major distributors, is also available at FanRoll.com and will start shipping in November to hit the holiday rush.
