Flesh and Blood raises the bar of TCG design once more with their most exciting booster set yet: Part the Mistveil. The mist beckons you to venture beyond the veil to the hanging villages suspended between the perilous terrain of Misteria's canyons and gullies. Discover the secrets of a land steeped in mystique, where tradition, desire, and purpose will reshape your mind, body, and soul.
Part the Mistveil marks the long-awaited arrival of a brand-new Talent, unveiling three new 'Mystic' heroes across popular modern classes like Assassin and Illusionist, as well as the fan-favourite classic Ninja. Mystic heroes use blue cards to master the sacred art of transcending in order to unlock Inner Chi - a unique resource that fuels unbelievable abilities.
Seduce your enemies and use their own cards against them with the sensual Assassin - Nuu, Alluring Desire. Amass Spectral Shields to ward off danger with the mysterious Illusionist - Enigma, Ledger of Ancestry. Harness the balanced martial strength of Crouching Tigers with the disciplined Ninja - Zen, Tamer of Purpose.
Releasing on May 31, Part the Mistveil is the first Flesh and Blood booster set to launch in Japanese language, alongside English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. Flesh and Blood creator James White says:
"For years passionate trading card game players across Japan have patiently waited for Flesh and Blood to be available in their mother tongue.
Now after years of planning, we’re incredibly excited to officially bring Flesh and Blood to the motherland of the TCG industry, marking a massive milestone for Legend Story Studios and the status of Flesh and Blood as a truly global game.
From the thirteen booster sets we have released since 2019, as the creator and lead designer of the game, Part the Mistveil is the one I am most proud of, and I’m very happy that it is with our best work yet, that the global Flesh and Blood community can celebrate this milestone together and welcome our new Japanese fans to become part of the global Flesh and Blood community."
Legend Story Studios is celebrating this milestone launch into the Japanese TCG industry by holding the World Premiere of Part the Mistveil in Tokyo on May 17, followed by a Japanese Calling tournament on May 18, and the 2024 World Championship in Osaka on October 31 to November 3.
It’s not only groundbreaking mechanics and dynamic gameplay that has players intrigued more than ever. Part the Mistveil features some of the most breathtaking art and collectability the game has ever produced, with stunning Cold Foil Marvel cards illustrated by traditional Japanese artists. The Expansion Slot also returns, juicing up a vast range of heroes with formidable new support cards that are sure to make a splash across multiple formats.
Alongside the release of Part the Mistveil is the new Blitz Deck Collection, featuring three ready-to-play out of the box Blitz Decks (one of each new hero), three Part the Mistveil booster packs, and a beautiful 'Hanging Village' rubber playmat, all packaged inside a reusable 1000ct Mistcloak Gully storage box. Designed for casual play, this is the perfect companion to Part the Mistveil for any intrepid explorer delving into the cloaked valleys of Misteria for the first time.
