John Miller of Docking Bay 94 in Coconut, Florida writes in to talk about toys being solicited in the Previews catalog.
This message ties in with a comment I posted months ago about shop owners doing field trips before placing orders (see "John Miller of Docking Bay 94 on Pre-Ordering Field Trips"). The current March Previews catalog has the new Reaction Big Trouble in Little China figures in it. My local Toy R Us already has them. This doesn't upset me. I'm used to the bigger chains getting things before us little guys. It's been happening for years, and money talks. What does concern me is why are they blowing out these brand new Reaction figures at $7 already (they retail for $10 to $10.99)???
Why would I want to order something that a major chain has already deep discounted? Our cost is a little over $7.00 each! I guess on a positive note since this Previews order isn't due until Monday, I can take a big PASS on ordering them.
