San Diego Comic-Con News:  IDW Publishing is sending Shredder to hell in a new a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle miniseries.  Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder in Hell is written and drawn by Mateus Santolouco (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Secret History of the Foot Clan).  The first issue of the five-issue miniseries will be in stores in early 2019.

In Shredder in Hell, the infamous leader of the Foot Clan struggles to survive the nightmarish pits of the afterlife and discovers both his true purpose and the origins of the beings responsible for creation and destruction in his world.

Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird’s creation has remained immensely popular since its inception in 1984.  Top Shelf Productions (see “Top Shelf's Summer 2018 Releases”), IDW Publishing (see “IDW Announces Three Licensed Miniseries at Wondercon”), and Dark Horse Comics (see “Usagi Yojimbo and TMNT Come Together in New Collection”) have TMNT releases planned for later this summer and fall.  Nickelodeon will also release a new TMNT animated series this fall (see “Nickelodeon Unveils Rebooted 'TMNT'”), and the franchise is headed toward yet another feature film reboot (see “New 'TMNT' Movie in the Works”).
