IDW Publishing revealed three miniseries based on licensed properties for Summer at WonderCon this weekend, tied to Star Trek Next Generation, Transformers, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Two of the series will have accelerated release schedules.

Star Trek: The Next Generation: Terra Incognita, a six-issue miniseries by writers Scott and David Tipton and artist Tony Shasteen, will launch in August.  It will feature stand-alone stores in the “prime” Star Trek universe with a subplot of an evil Mirror Universe character posing as his prime universe counterpart on the ship.  Elizabeth Beals will contribute one cover per issue, according to an editor Sarah Gaydos Tweet.

Transformer: Unicron, a six-issue bi-weekly miniseries by John Barber and Alex Milne with colorist Sebastian Cheng, will launch in July.  Unicron is setting his sights on Cybertron as Optimus Prim is gathering his defenses.  Variant covers by Andrew Griffith, Nick Roche, Bill Sienkiewicz, and Francesco Francavilla are planned.  The first chapter of the story will appear in a #0 issue on Free Comic Book Day (see "FCBD 2018 Gold Sponsor Comics").

Bebop & Rocksteady Hit the Road, a five-issue weekly Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles miniseries by Ben Bates and Dustin Weaver, will appear in August.  TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman will provide variant covers.
