At Wizard World Chicago representatives from Marvel and Lion's Gate Family Entertainment discussed The Ultimate Avengers , the first feature length, direct-to-DVD animated film release produced by Lion's Gate featuring Marvel characters.

Diamond Comic Distributors' tally of comics shipped during June showed declines in nineteen of the top 25 comics. Only four comics out of the top 25 showed gains and they were all Marvels.
