Dreamworks Animation has released the first trailer for its Trolls feature, which has been in development since 2010.  The studio bought the property from the Dam Family and Dam Things of Denmark in 2013 (see “Dreamworks Buys Trolls”), so is undoubtedly trying to build a franchise. 

Voice talent in the film includes Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Russell Brand, James Corden, Kunal Nayyar, Ron Funches, Icona Pop, Gwen Stefani, and more.  The film features original music from Timberlake.   

Dark Horse produced four series of collectible Troll figures between 2012 and 2014 (see “Dark Horse ‘Trolls’ Seed Market”). 

The film is due for release in November.
