According to The Hollywood Reporter Aaron Eckhart, who was brilliant in Thank You For Smoking, is in 'final negotiations' to portray District Attorney Harvey Dent/Two Face in The Dark Knight, director Christopher Nolan's sequel to Batman Begins. Eckhart is tackling a role that was previously played by Tommy Lee Jones in Batman Forever in 1995.
Eckart joins a stellar cast that includes Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, and Gary Oldman all reprising their roles from Batman Begins and Heath Ledger, who is slated to portray The Joker.
Christopher Nolan's brother Jonathan is writing the screenplay for The Dark Knight from a story by Christopher Nolan and David Goyer.
